Shower Care:

What Do I Use?
Use ONLY Color Safe Shampoos and Conditioners. WE suggest using a purple shampoo such as Sexy Hair Purple Shampoo. This helps to keep your blonde nice and bright and helps prevent brassiness.

How Often Should I Wash My Hair?
Do NOT wash your hair everyday/ Too much washing is actually bad for your hair. It is best to wash your hair every other day or longer is possible.

What Do I Use in Between Washes?
Dry Shampoo works wonders! Apply it to your roots at night. This will give extra time for the natural oils on your scalp to absorb. Also any tossing or turning you do while sleeping will help give your hair more texture and volume. If you tend to wake up with tangles, try sleeping on a satin pillowcase.

What Do I Use?

When styling your hair with a hot tool, ALWAYS use a heat protectant. Keep your hair moisturized with a leave in conditioner. For ALL styling products, be sure to avoid sulfates. They contain salt which strips away your hairs natural moisture. All of our products are sulfate free! Your stylist can help you choose the products that would best suit your personal styling needs.

For Summer Months/Swimmers
Apply a layer of conditioner to help create a barrier and protect your hair before getting in the pool. If you begin to see a greenish buildup, use a Clarifying Shampoo. If that does not help, contact your stylist.

Schedule your next appointment 6 weeks out to help avoid breakage/split ends and keep your color looking healthy. Request a Deep Conditioning treatment at least every other visit to maintain your hairs overall health and integrity.

Customized Hair Care Recommendations for Curly Hair

Shower Care:

We suggest using a pre-shampoo to help with detangling after. Use a conditioner or conditioning oil, apply thoroughly to the hair (sectioning may help). Leave in for 20 minutes or so before shampooing. Use a mild shampoo as not to strip all of the natural moisture and oils from your hair. After you shampoo, wring out your hair to remove as much water as possible, then apply your conditioner and let it sit in your hair for at least 2-5 minutes before rinsing. This will allow it to absorb and condition your hair better than when it's sopping wet. If possible, do NOT use hot water. Cold water will help cut down on the frizz.

How Often Should I Wash my Hair?
Do NOT wash your hair everyday if possible. Curly hair does not need to be shampooed as often as straight hair. Too much shampooing will stretch and dry out the curls

Also any tossing or turning you do while sleeping will help give your hair more texture and volume. If you tend to wake up with tangles, try sleeping on a satin pillowcase. Taking a shower without washing your hair is okay. We recommend conditioning the hair between washes and a deep conditioning treatment is also recommended. To detangle the hair, use a wide tooth comb (not a brush). Try to do this when it is wet, and do not pull or "rake" the hair.

Styling:

What Do I Use?
Try to refrain from using any blow dryers, flat irons, curlers or any hot tools. They strip away the moisture which is essential to your curls. Try and air dry the hair whenever possible. In the event that you need to, ALWAYS use a heat protectant when using a hot tool on your hair. If you must blow dry, try and use a diffuser. The diffuser will help cut down on the frizz. When the hair is just about completely dry, try to set the blow dryer on cool to help close up the cuticle of the hair and lock in the shine. For all Styling Products be sure to avoid Sulfates! They contain salt which strips away moisture. All of our products are Sulfate Free! Your stylist will help you choose the best products to suit your personal styling needs.

Oils and leave in conditioners help preserve moisture. Apply these from the mid shaft of your hair to the ends.
